Since the late 1980s, Maya Traditions has been partnering with cooperatives of indigenous female artisans. These deep-rooted relationships support generations of women refine their art, ensure payment of a fair price for their work, and foster the growth of strong communities. Today, Maya Traditions partners with:

  • 8 self-governed cooperatives in 6 rural villages
  • Over 100 skilled female artisans who practice 4 different artisan techniques
